However, your post challenged me to look at it again. I wrote a follow on post today with info that may help you find it: http://leavesfortrees.blogspot.com/2012/11/baldwin-city-kansas-home-update.html

I looks to be just east from the rail head...at least in 1920. Do you have any idea where the house was in relation to the town? I'm sure I could find it if I had a bit more to go on.Beehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12065661207771017120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8989121904965444460.post-38911221564517271592011-04-01T15:06:37.118-05:002011-04-01T15:06:37.118-05:00It is also possible that the house belonged to Jam...It is also possible that the house belonged to James and Cora Martin. Cora was Frank Earl Kuhn's mother and she remarried James Martin after the death of her first husband. They lived in Baldwin City from 1900-1920. That time frame fits the car.Heather Kuhn Roelkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07247311735034470203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8989121904965444460.post-989545406191475042011-04-01T14:53:25.842-05:002011-04-01T14:53:25.842-05:00Jill, I'm glad you stumbled across my photo. I...Jill, I'm glad you stumbled across my photo. I received this photo from the Kuhn family and I know that my Kuhn line lived in Baldwin City for many years. Philip Reymer Kuhn moved to Baldwin City sometime between 1885 and 1895. He died in 1899. My great-grandfather, Frank Earl Kuhn, was born near there in 1886. He stayed in the area until he was a young man. He ended up in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Yours in the only inquiry I have received on the photo. I suppose I need to look in to land records and see what I can find out. Maybe next time I'm in Kansas I'll visit Baldwin City. Does the house look familiar?Heather Kuhn Roelkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07247311735034470203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8989121904965444460.post-20997186505121520982011-04-01T13:36:55.029-05:002011-04-01T13:36:55.029-05:00Hi Heather. I work at Baker University. Anyway, I wan wondering if you had received any information about your photo? I am very interested in the history of Baldwin City and the old houses. I'd be very interested to know of the family and what became of them.Jill Franklinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08023893628992849267noreply@blogger.com
